Search appearance without matching schema
Search appearance tells you when Google showed a rich result type (FAQ, HowTo, and similar) for a URL. On Business and Enterprise we collect that dimension and compare it with JSON-LD from the crawl.
What we look for
We flag URLs with meaningful search-appearance impressions for a schema-backed type when the crawled page does not declare a matching JSON-LD type (for example FAQ impressions without FAQPage).
What to do
Add accurate structured data that matches visible content. Do not mark up answers users cannot see. Use the JSON-LD generator from SEO Possibilities when the page already answers the questions.
Technical details
Google requires a two-step Search Analytics query for search appearance. This collect step runs only on Business and Enterprise. Lower plans still get sitemap health and URL Inspection sampling. See Search Console data in SEO Perception.
