Getting started on the dashboard

When you create an account and sign in, you are taken to the dashboard at /dashboard. If you have not connected data yet, the main area highlights a short three-step guide so you know what to do next.

Dashboard with greeting and “Get Started in 3 Simple Steps” card: Step 1 Connect GSC Account with primary button, Step 2 Add Website disabled with “Complete Step 1 first”, Step 3 Data is Collected with 5–10 minute note, and footer about email notification.

The three steps

  1. Connect a Google Search Console account. Use the primary action (for example Connect GSC Account) to start Google’s consent flow. This authorizes SEO Perception to read Search Console data for properties that account can access.
  2. Add one or more websites. After at least one GSC account is connected, you can add sites by choosing the right Search Console property for each. The “add website” control stays disabled until step 1 is done; the UI may show a hint such as “Complete Step 1 first.” You can add multiple properties over time, up to your plan’s website limit. See Adding a website and The Websites list.
  3. Wait while data is collected. After you add a site, importing Search Console metrics and running the first crawl usually takes on the order of 5–10 minutes. You can stay on the page, come back later, or rely on email notification when things are ready—the card explains this at the bottom.

For details on authorization and properties, see Connecting Google Search Console.

Language in the product

Headings, buttons, and helper text follow your UI language when the app is localized. The layout is the same; only the wording changes. Below is the same onboarding card with Danish labels as an example.

Same dashboard onboarding card in Danish: three steps for GSC connection, adding a website, and data collection with translated titles and buttons.
